Top SchoolYoussef Makboul is a software engineer with 11 years of experience building reliable back-end systems and polished user experiences, now based in Seattle and currently engineering at Meta. He spent several years at Shopify progressing from intern to full software developer, gaining deep e-commerce and scalable service experience before joining Meta in 2025. Comfortable across the full stack, Youssef has a pattern of shipping production-quality code and chasing subtle bugs—aptly summarized in his GitHub tagline about shaping bytes and crafting pixel-perfect experiences. His early co-op roles in telecom and aerospace firms reinforced a pragmatic, test-focused approach to complex systems. A University of Ottawa computer science alum with repeated internship-to-hire success, he combines startup agility with large-scale platform discipline.
