Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolYuqiao Zhang is a rendering engineer with a decade of experience building graphics systems for proprietary engines, consoles and drivers, having worked at Crytek, Vertigo Games, Booming Tech, NetEase and Alibaba. He combines low-level GPU and driver optimization experience from ARM with engine-level global and local illumination work (SH, Voxel Cone Tracing, LTC, SSS) and console porting knowledge including PS5. Based in Amsterdam, he now develops the open-source VTuber project Brioche Puppet—implementing rendering, PAL support for Vulkan/D3D12 and realtime motion/physics integration—while studying neural rendering and ML through Stanford Online. His background uniquely spans GPU driver internals to production engine rendering, and he is preparing for a Master’s in Quantum Computer Science to explore intersections of quantum theory, ML and rendering.
