Top SchoolYuriy Elesin is a software engineer based in Copenhagen with 9 years of experience applying advanced C/C++ engineering to multiphysics problems across optics, electrochemistry, heat transfer, structural mechanics, and fluid dynamics. He specializes in design and topology optimization for photonic integrated circuits, with a strong track record of making optimized designs robust to manufacturing and material uncertainties. His background blends high-performance computing—MPI, multi-threading, and GPU programming—with numerical and stochastic PDE methods, enabling scalable solutions demonstrated on codes that have run on 500+ cores. Yuriy has transitioned between research and industry roles, shipping both research-grade optimization tools and production software for process simulation, document generation, and product configuration. He brings a practical bent toward reliability and manufacturability, and his PhD in computational geodynamics underpins a rigorous approach to coupled multiphysics modeling.
