Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolYuriy Tymchuk is a Software Craftsman with 15 years of experience building resilient systems and rescuing complex, legacy codebases into maintainable products. Based in Neuheim, Zug, he blends academic rigor—holding doctoral research experience—with pragmatic engineering across full stacks including Scala, Spark, NodeJS and Ruby. He has taught and helped shape computer science curricula while consulting on strategy, bringing a rare mix of pedagogy and hands-on delivery to teams. At Swisscom and Blue Diamond Asset Management he focused on pragmatic refactors and smart engineering trade-offs that improve reliability and developer velocity. An active open-source contributor, he has demonstrated deep parsing expertise by extending a pure-Ruby WHOIS parser to support domain-specific registry fields and tests. Driven by curiosity and a low tolerance for "stinky" designs, he prefers experiments that end with usable, well-engineered outcomes.

Contributions summary:Yuriy's primary focus within the `weppos/whois` repository involves enhancing the parsing capabilities for WHOIS data, specifically for the `.ua` domain. The contributions center around adding support for new properties such as `domain`, `created_on`, `admin_contacts`, and other attributes. They added tests to support the properties added to the parser. These changes demonstrate a strong grasp of data parsing and the ability to adapt to specific domain registry requirements.
