Zate B
Senior Security Architect at Atlassian
Western Australia
Summary
👤
SeniorZate B is a Senior Security Architect based in Western Australia with ~15 years in industry and nearly 25 years of security-related experience spanning military secure communications to leadership roles at Atlassian and Meta. He has led security strategy and operations across large consumer and enterprise platforms—steering Reality Labs at Meta and current security architecture at Atlassian—while building and maturing secure development practices at Indeed, ZeniMax, and Rapid7. Known for bridging investigative rigor with architecture-level thinking, he moves between hands-on incident work and long-term controls design. His background in the Australian Army and early Unix/enterprise app roles gives him uncommon depth in secure systems and operational resilience. A hobbyist GitHub user, he pairs professional discipline with continual curiosity about tools and practical security automation.
