Top SchoolZhongjun Tian is a Staff Software Engineer in Seattle with 11 years of experience building large-scale data and ML tooling for companies like Apple and Amazon. He specializes in big data platforms (Spark, Hadoop, EMR, Glue) and production ML/NLP stacks (Word2Vec, BERT, XGBoost) and has repeatedly driven high-impact services that operate on billions of records. At Amazon he contributed to revenue-driving ad products and at Apple he builds internal tools empowering AIML, services, and SWE organizations. Comfortable across cloud providers (AWS, Azure), containerization, and a wide language set from Java/Scala/Kotlin to Python and TypeScript, he blends deep infrastructure skills with applied ML. He also rewrote long-lived enterprise systems and won a Trimble hackathon award for a heuristic-driven modernization, reflecting a knack for practical algorithmic engineering. His public GitHub (ZhongjunTian) and JonTian.com hint at a persistent interest in sharing tooling and engineering patterns beyond day-to-day product work.
