Top SchoolŽiga Sajovic is Chief Scientist at XLAB with over a decade of experience applying mathematical abstractions to systems programming and production software. Based in Slovenia, he moved from Head Mathematician to his current role in 2016, blending formal reasoning with pragmatic engineering to tackle low-level system challenges. He favors rigorous, algebraic approaches to design and verification, translating theoretical insights into robust implementations. Known for a quiet, focused engineering style (“just a man” on GitHub), he brings deep academic grounding from the University of Ljubljana to industry problems. Colleagues describe him as the kind of engineer who surfaces subtle correctness issues before they hit production. His work habitually bridges research-grade models and maintainable system code.
